  1. The 2018 NFL preseason is officially over. Is there anyone out there as happy as me to get this show on the road? Regular season football Womens Customized Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , here we come! But first, let's look at the ten things I took away from the preseason. The good, the bad, the ugly...I want to bare it all.The Los Angeles Rams backups are terrible. There needs to be quite a few moves made in the coming days. The Rams should be one of the most active teams on the waiver wire — addressing areas such as quarterback, offensive line, outside linebacker, and safety. Speaking of backups, it's time the Rams move on from QB Sean Mannion. 3k has mentioned this before, but the backup job needs to be addressed. Mannion was terrible. If starting QB Jared Goff misses anytime, then that's all she wrote folks! Backups I would look into include (but are not limited to), Indianapolis Colts QB Phillip Walker, Seattle Seahawks QB Austin Davis, Los Angeles Chargers QB Geno Smith, or Pittsburgh Steelers QB Landry Jones. The Rams were forcing the ball to WR Freddie Brown all preseason. He led the team in targets by a wide margin seeing 23 targets in 11 quarters of football. That's a little over seven targets a game. He didn't do much with it, catching 13 passes for 90 scoreless yards and five drops. Why is this interesting you ask? Well two reasons. What did he show in practice to warrant so much attention (more than WR KhaDarel Hodge). Secondarily, he played the same position/role as Robert Woods. Could this be a sign for a huge target year for Woods? The attack was very balanced last year but could lean a little more on Woods with Brandin Cooks in town. His threat should open things up.I stated as much on Turf Show Radio a few weeks ago, but I believe it would not be a shock to see WR Josh Reynolds get the boot. A fourth round draft pick is far from a lock to make the roster in year one. It's even further from a lock in year two when you didn't really do much in year one. So when you're hurt, the saying goes: "you can't make the club in the tub". Hodge could sneak in and steal the sixth receiver spot. The Rams defense is for real. In the one instance where we saw the starting unit hit the field for an extended look against the Oakland Raiders starting unit, they were absolutely dominant. And this was without DE Aaron Donald and LB Mark Barron. This tells me they can be even better. If you’re an opposing offense on the schedule this season www.ramsfootballauthentics.com , the Rams have to be circled on your schedule. Speaking of seeing starters, it is unbelievably rare to see your healthy starting quarterback not see any reps in the preseason. I mean incredibly rare. It almost never happens. The reason is because it's such a rhythm position. You want to get him those reps as preparation. I can't help but wonder what the hell kind of voodoo mojo HC Sean McVay has worked in the genes of Goff to feel there won't be any rust in Week 1 against the Raiders. Sitting your running back, not so rare. Actually sitting any position outside of QB, not so rare. It's slightly rare to not let your starting line gel, but still not as rare as the QB. I'm interested in seeing how this turns out.Rams TE Tyler Higbee could be a featured weapon on third down and in the red zone. I saw a lot of designed routes to hit the TE from inline in those situations this preseason. Actually more than I saw all of last year under McVay. The quarterback and line play was not the greatest so most of them failed to work, but they were there. It's a big year for Higbee as he enters year three which is a prime year for tight ends. He played really well last year. Some will get too caught up in the numbers but they're failing to realize how many mouths are to be fed in this offense. The tight end is typically the fourth option at best. I'm wondering if McVay and Goff will be feeding him a little more.Sean McVay can't hold his water. He got a little bit of good news on DE Aaron Donald and turned into a 13 year old boy with a crush. I’ve never seen him so giddy before. When asked for an update on Donald, he blushed and let it all out. Even telling Rams Senior Director of Communications Artis Twyman to fall back when he tried to intervene, as he felt McVay was giving too much info. But who could blame him? It's been a long 15 months of negotiating. The coach is ready to see his best player get back once and for all. But man was his reaction so much different from the times when he had absolutely no firm updates other than "we're communicating". Be proud and be happy McVay. I get it, however, we all now know to never share a secret with you. Two linebackers stood out to me like a sore thumb this preseason, and one doesn't play for the Rams. The first is ILB Micah Kiser. Go back to my scouting report and you will see I loved this kid coming out of college. In fact there was only one LB I loved more and he is the other linebacker that stood out to me. In my opinion Kiser was the best non-starting linebacker for the entire NFL this preseason. He finished with 26 tackles, three deflections, a sack, couple tackles for loss and some great pressures in nine quarters played (basically two games). The other LB was Seahawks stud, and fifth round pick, Shaquem Griffin. I ramped and raved about him hard during the scouting season. Most disagreed telling me he's just a good story. But as I said repeatedly, his story is secondary to his level of play if he had both hands he would have been a first round draft pick. And he's off to a good start. He also had 26 tackles, a couple for loss, and some nice pressures. He was all over the field and always around the ball. I wanted the Rams to draft him and most around here did not. Now buckle up Los Angeles Rams T-Shirt , this kid will be a pain in the Rams ass for a long time. Running back Todd Gurley hates the preseason. He was overjoyed to hear he would not play, which is fine. As mentioned above it's not unheard of for the RB to miss the entire exhibition portion of a season. In fact it's most common with their position. But I was not a fan of downplaying of these vital four games leading into the season. I hate with a passion when players who have it made diss the preseason. Yes, it's nothing to you, but it's also not for you. I hate the talk of shortening it, as well. These games are huge for coaches, and really for most teams the determine about 10-15 spots on average for the 32 different 53-man rosters across the league. We will go with the median and say 13. That's over 400 jobs. Without the preseason we don't have players like RB Terrell Davis, QB’s Kurt Warner and Tom Brady, TE’s Shannon Sharpe and Antonio Gates, WR Antonio Brown, DE Jared Allen, etc... Of this group listed only Jared Allen was at least a fourth round pick. Everyone else was sixth round to undrafted. Without the preseason we would not have seen dozens and dozens of hall of fame players. Lay off the preseason, it's a good thing. The 2018 NFL season is upon us. Enjoy folks, because believe me when I tell you, it will be Super Bowl time in no time at all...Week 2 approval poll: Los Angeles Rams HC Sean McVay Your opinion of Sean McVay when you hit the sack on Monday night likely depended on what time you turned the game off.At halftime, Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders were having their way with Wade Phillips’ much hyped defense. The Los Angeles Rams entered the half down 13-10 and losing the time of possession battle - among other things - badly. If you were on the east coast or couldn’t stomach the possibility of watching another disappointing half of Rams football, you could very well have went to bed distraught. But if you endured the disappointment and were able to tune in for the second half, you saw that McVay and Co. made some tremendous halftime adjustments and completely dominated the third quarter before coasting in the fourth quarter. Less than two years removed from Jeff Fisher’s terrible coaching it was a magnificent sight to behold.Which category do you fall into?*Editors note: The poll will be cumulative in 2018*
  2. Each practice day Cheap Justin Houston Jersey , the Kansas City Chiefs will release an official injury report leading up to the next game. Here is the report for Thursday:ChiefsThe Chiefs announced that defensive lineman Chris Jones would return to practice after missing Wednesday, while safety Eric Berry would miss his second practice in a row this week. As a reminder, Berry hasn’t practice since August 11. Safety Armani Watts missed practice due to non-injury reasons.49ersSome notesBerry (sore heel) has now missed two days of practice despite the NFL Network report on Monday that he could practice this week. Jones (groin strain) http://www.chiefscheapshoponline.com/cheap-authentic-anthony-hitchens-jersey , as we expected, appears to be fine.Linebacker Ben Niemann (hamstring) has been officially listed as limited this week. Looks like he’ll either be questionable or doubtful for Sunday.Cornerback Richard Sherman popped up the Thursday injury report with a heel injury. He did not practice.Chiefs vs. Broncos: Five questions with the enemy Editor’s note: We welcome in Denver Broncos writer Casey Barrett of Mile High Report for “Five questions with the enemy,” leading into the Kansas City Chiefs’ matchup with the Broncos Monday night.1. 3. It’s finally here! The Green Bay Packers showed up for training camp on Wednesday http://www.authenticsgreenbaypackers.com/cheap-mason-crosby-jersey , but the real excitement begins today as the team begins its quest for a 14th NFL championship with the first practice of the summer.Barring any unpleasant weather conditions, the Packers will ride bikes over to Ray Nitschke Field this morning in time to begin practicing at 11:30 AM. It’s time for position battles to get underway and for the depth chart to begin taking shape.Every one of the Packers’ open practices this year will begin around mid-day, either starting at 11:15, 11:30, 11:45 Youth Randall Cobb Jersey , or 12:15. Today’s is in one of the earlier of those time slots. In addition, the team’s first action under the lights this year will take place on August 4th with the annual Family Night Scrimmage — the same night as the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement ceremony. Hopefully the team has planned to show live video of Jerry Kramer’s Hall of Fame speech inside Lambeau Field when he is due to speak. In addition, the first preseason game comes two weeks after this first practice, with the Packers hosting the Tennessee Titans on August 9th.Tune in here and enjoy the return of Packers football!Practice Updates from Packers MediaTweets from https://twitter.com/TexWestern/lists/packers-newsPackers get no new players on waivers after final roster cuts The Green Bay Packers’ 53-man roster as of Saturday contains a number of strange numbers, at least compared to how the team has constructed its roster in the past. For example Youth Clay Matthews Jersey , there are just two running backs on the team, eight wide receivers, and four outside linebackers on the 53, all of which are highly unusual. However, one of the early methods of changing that breakdown bore no fruit for general manager Brian Gutekunst. The waiver deadline after final cuts was noon Eastern Time on Sunday http://www.authenticsgreenbaypackers.com/cheap-nick-perry-jersey , but according to Michael Cohen of The Athletic, the team did not receive any players on waivers. This does not mean that the Packers chose not to put in claims for any players; they may have submitted claims only to see their desired players go to teams that had a higher waiver priority. The top two teams in priority, the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants, put in five and six waiver claims respectively, so it is possible that the Packers tried to claim one of the individuals that went to those teams. Thus Youth JK Scott Jersey , the Packers’ 53 will be the same — at least for the time being — as it was when the final cuts came down. However, there may be changes coming now that all players released by other teams are free agents. In addition, Cohen’s reporting says that none of the players whom the Packers released were claimed by other teams.Moving beyond the active roster, NFL teams can begin putting together their practice squads as of 1:00 Eastern on Sunday. Stay tuned for updates on the Packers’ signings throughout the afternoon.
  4. Auden Tate , a rookie wide receiver, has made the 53-man roster in Cincinnati. This is great news for Bengals fans as Tate had become a fan-favorite in Cincinnati since being selected with the third to last pick http://www.bengalscheapstore.com/andrew-billings-jersey-cheap in the 2018 NFL Draft. He joins A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, John Ross, Josh Malone, Alex Erickson and Cody Core at the wide receiver position. Core might not be sticking around for long though as he’s injured and could be a candidate for IR with the designation to return.Tate spent three years at Florida State University, though he only played in 2016 and 2017. He racked up 957 yards and 16 touchdowns in the process. 10 of those touchdowns came last season with a backup quarterback after FSU’s starter went down with an injury in the season opener. His 14.7 yards per reception were quite impressive but an injury contributed to his draft stock slipping. Tate ran a 4.68 second 40-yard dash at the combine and recorded a 31.0” vertical jump and 112” broad jump.Once he got to Cincinnati he impressed the coaches and fans alike with his massive size — 6’5”, 228 pounds — making him an ideal red zone target. He made plentiful highlight reel plays during training camp and in the preseason he caught three passes for 66 yards, including 1 touchdown. He nearly had a second touchdown in the preseason finale, but he wasn’t able to get his second foot down in bounds. His lacking ability on special teams nearly cost him a roster spot, but he was able to ultimately make the cut in Cincinnati. With Tate making the roster, he’ll likely be a game day inactive unless there are injuries at the wide receiver position. With that said, he’s giving football his all and even trained with Randy Moss this offseason.Congratulations to the rookie on making the Bengals’ 53-man roster.NFL fantasy football waiver wire: 8 adds and 4 drops for Week 3 With Week 2 in the NFL all wrapped up, it’s time for a look at the fantasy football waiver wire moves you need to make heading into Week 3. We’ll start off with a Bengals player who should be owned this week due to an injury to second-year back Joe Mixon.Fantasy Football Week 2 AddsBengals RB Giovani BernardThe Bengals have lost Joe Mixon Cheap Andy Dalton Jersey , who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. This is a very tricky recovery, and given the Bengals’ history of muddying up the waters with injured players, the safe approach to take is assume Mixon misses at least two games and is brought along slowly in his first game back. In the meantime, Giovani Bernard is a very valuable backup who has proven he can be an RB1 when made the featured back. He had 95-plus yards from scrimmage in three of his last five games in 2017 when Mixon was in and out of the lineup. As of Sunday, Bernard was only owned in 41 percent of CBS fantasy leagues. He needs to be at 100 percent in any type of league by the time Week 3 begins. Browns WR Antonio Callaway Now that Josh Gordon is out in Cleveland, you have to think one of the other receivers is going to step up and become a viable fantasy option. Might that be Antonio Callaway? The rookie receiver had a good preseason and has already earned a starting role. Then came what was almost a game-winning score against the Saints in Week 2; a 47-yard touchdown that tied the game late before the PAT was missed. With Gordon now out of the picture, you have to think Cleveland is going to make Callaway the featured receiver, making him an easy add to make for Week 3. 49ers RB Matt BreidaWith Jerick McKinnon on injured reserve, Matt Breida is now the featured back in San Francisco. Breida’s season got off to a good start when he ran 11 times for 46 yards against a stout Vikings defense. Then in Week 2 against the Lions, Breida erupted for 138 yards and a score on 11 runs with three catches for 21 yards. His 66-yard rushing touchdown was the longest rushing score by a 49ers running back since Frank Gore in 2009 (80 yards vs. Seahawks). Eagles RB Corey ClementThe Eagles lost Jay Ajayi to injury against the Buccaneers in Week 2, while Darren Sproles was already out due to injury. That led to Corey Clement becoming the featured back and impressing with a bigger workload. He gained 30 yards on six carries and caught five passes for 55 yards. Clement gained 26 yards on just five carries against the Falcons in Week 1, so he’s been building up to taking on a bigger role, which may come sooner rather than later. If you need running back help in deeper leagues, Clement could be the best addition possible for you to make. Bengals WR Tyler BoydComing into the season Cheap Vontaze Burfict Jersey , the thought in Cincinnati was Tyler Eifert and John Ross would be the fantasy relevant pass-catchers not named A.J. Green. But after two weeks, it’s Tyler Boyd who ranks second on the team in targets (14), catches (9) and yards (116). He’d be a solid addition in PPR leagues as long as he keeps getting 5-7 targets per game. Packers RB Aaron JonesThe Packers are set to get back Aaron Jones, who was suspended by the NFL for the first two games of the 2018 season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Jones was the team’s second-leading rusher in 2017, his rookie season, with 448 yards. He also rushed for four touchdowns.Jones and Jamaal Williams shared touches in 2017, though Jones was clearly the better back (5.5 ypc to Williams’ 3.6) when healthy. Williams hasn’t done enough to keep the top spot over the first two games, so stash Jones now in hopes he’ll be getting the majority of carries very soon. Packers WR Geronimo Allison With Jordy Nelson gone, Geronimo Allison has taken over the No. 3 receiver spot and ran with it. After catching five balls for 69 yards and a score in Week 1, Allison racked up six more catches for 64 yards from a hobbled Aaron Rodgers. Allison also has 14 targets through two games, so he’s a nice addition in deeper leagues if you need receiver help. Buccaneers WR Chris GodwinTampa Bay is on fire to begin this season, and part of that is due to the emergence of Chris Godwin. The second-year receiver has two touchdown grabs through two games on eight grabs for 97 yards on just 10 targets. Even with Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson doing plenty of damage, Tampa has been a pass-heavy offense where even the No. 3 receiver is fantasy relevant. Godwin is another good addition in deeper leagues for those in need of receivers. Fantasy Football Week 2 DropsGreg Olsen After missing much of 2017 with a foot injury, Greg Olsen has been shelved again due to a similar issue. The latest setback is expected to keep him sideline for 4-5 weeks. As good as Olsen is when healthy Youth Preston Brown Jersey , that’s too long of an absence to keep him on your roster, and there’s no assurance he’ll remain healthy when he returns. Eagles WR Mike WallaceIf you were counting on Mike Wallace to be for the Eagles what Torrey Smith was in 2017, those hopes may have been dashed Sunday after Wallace left Sunday’s game on a cart with an ankle injury. He doesn’t have a catch on three targets this season, even with Alshon Jeffery out of the lineup. Wallace is an easy call to cut if you still have him. Bengals WR John RossAs mentioned above, the Bengals had big expectations for their former top-10 pick coming into the season. But after two games, John Ross has just two catches for 11 yards and a score on six targets. Ross has a world of potential, but Andy Dalton and the offense don’t appear ready to trust him enough for him to stay fantasy relevant. Cardinals WR Christian KirkWith the Cardinals losing John Brown and Jeron Brown this offseason, second-round pick Christian Kirk was expected to take on a major roll as a rookie. With a solid veteran in Sam Bradford and an offense that was likely to be playing behind a lot, Kirk looked like a sneaky fantasy prospect to spend one of your final roster spots on.But after two games, the Cardinals are even worse than imagined, and Kirk has just five catches for 31 yards and no scores on seven targets. Like the rest of Arizona’s offense other than David Johnson, Kirk is cannon fodder you need to get rid of.
  5. The state of North Carolina is going through a lot right now with Hurricane Florence Youth Preston Brown Jersey , but nonetheless, the Bengals will be traveling to Charlotte to take the Panthers this Sunday. With a 2-0 record, this game is a chance for Cincinnati to get some breathing room against the rest of the AFC North. Meanwhile, the Panthers are coming off a loss to the Bengals’ next opponent in Atlanta, and are looking to keep pace with the rest of the NFC South. The NFL has seen two ties so far this season, and interestingly enough, the last time these two teams met back in 2014 it resulted in a tie. In the previous matchup before that, the Bengals won at Carolina in a Week 3 game to go to 2-1 to begin the 2010 season. It was their last win until December 19th of that season. 6. Extra attention has been given to the Green Bay Packers’ secondary the past few months. Leading the hype have been the Packers’ top two picks of the last couple drafts in Kevin King and Jaire Alexander. But in the Packers’ first preseason action of the 2018 season Cheap Kevin King Jersey , neither cornerback came out of the tunnel in pads.Still, Green Bay saw a number of its freshman and sophomore draft picks show out against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday evening. Running back Jamaal Williams (2017, 4th round) was one such standout. The second-year running back’s rushing numbers do not jump off the page with 16 yards on five carries, but his vision and patience led television announcer James Lofton to draw comparisons to Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. It might be too early for that kind of lofty praise, but Williams did seem to have a little extra burst and wiggle in his step than he did last season. Williams’ athleticism and quickness was on display on two Bell-like receptions in the flat. The first was an eight-yard touchdown pass in which Williams juked a defender before ultimately diving for the score at the goal line. On another play in the second quarter called back by penalty, Williams again showed a shoulder-shimmy wiggle to elude a tackler. It was a good sign for Williams, who will fill in while Aaron Jones serves an early regular season suspension.Along with Williams, here are several other young draft picks that made a positive impression in the first exhibition contest.OffenseDeAngelo Yancey (2017, 5th round) was listed as a starter at wide receiver with Randall Cobb sitting out and caught two passes for 10 yards. The line isn’t flashy and he did fail to catch a Brett Hundley slant in the end zone early in the game, but Yancey had two nice third-down grabs on passes thrown a bit high near the sideline later in the game. For the second-year player, who was one receiver not criticized by Aaron Rodgers earlier in the week, it was a good start in what is shaping up to be a hotly-contested wide receiver battle.J’Mon Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Equanimeous St. Brown (2018, rounds 4, 5, 6 respectively) all showed signs of breakout potential and are forming a really exciting trio of receivers going forward. MVS finished with 101 receiving yards, including an eye-catching 51-yard play in which he high-pointed a ball downfield. A contested fourth quarter touchdown reception capped off a solid first outing for the South Florida product, who showed off his straight-line speed not only as a receiver, but as a kick returner. St. Brown also finished with 61 yards on the night, with his most impressive play coming on a 28-yard pass play over the middle. After making the catch about 15 yards downfield, St. Brown immediately reversed direction and cut back across the field to tack on extra yardage with the help of a stiff arm. While Moore’s drop issues cast a dark shadow over his first game at Lambeau Field, the rookie found a way to gain separation and put himself in position to make impactful plays consistently. If he was able to finish catches, as he will need to do going forward, his night would have been remembered much differently.DefenseJosh Jackson (2018, 2nd round) made the start and turned in a promising performance with several cornerbacks scratched on Thursday night. Jackson was tested near the goal line twice in the first half and held up both times, running yard-for-yard with his matchup. Jackson showed effort in run support and, while he was called for what appeared to be a ticky-tacky holding penalty on third down, Jackson put himself in position to contest plays consistently. There is going to be increased pressure on Oren Burks (2018, 3rd round) to develop quickly after Jake Ryan’s season-ending injury. So far, Burks is off to a good start. The rookie from Vanderbilt stood out for his speed against the Titans, getting to the sideline quickly on a number of plays to track down a pass-catching running back. Burks made an exceptional play to sniff out a screen in the first quarter before closing fast on a third down play in the red zone later on. While Burks is a bit lean and still had some trouble in run support when taking on offensive linemen, he did fight through blocks to get to the ballcarrier at times. He showed comforting potential to play regular season snaps immediately.Kendall Donnerson (2018, 7th round) appeared to gain traction as a pass rusher on a couple second half snaps http://www.packerscheapshoponline.com/cheap-authentic-tramon-williams-jersey , but his play of the night came on a running play in which he stripped the ball from the running back for teammate Vince Biegel (2017, 4th round) to recover. Donnerson came to Green Bay as a raw, moldable stand-up linebacker and he showed some intriguing skills in his first game action.Montravius Adams (2017, 3rd round) had an impressive Family Night practice and carried some of that improvement over to preseason action. The rip-and-shed move that stood out last weekend came back in the red zone of the first series of the game, as Adams shed a blocker to stop Derrick Henry in the backfield. Lining up on the end of a three-lineman front, Adams showed quickness in penetration and on the final play of the first quarter, he was able to split the center and guard off the snap to disrupt a running play. Though Adams was not able to make the tackle and was called for an offsides penalty on the snap before, it was a positive outing for a former third rounder looking to fill a rotational role this season.Special TeamsIt’s always a good sign when your name isn’t heard as a long snapper, so the first impression was a good one for rookie Hunter Bradley (2018, 7th round). After an up-and-down performance in camps, Bradley had five clean snaps, including on a converted 41-yard field goal by Mason Crosby in the second half.JK Scott (2018, 5th round) was a surprise pick this year, but was seen as an upgrade to punter Justin Vogel. After a stellar start to training camp, Scott had a 52-yard boot in the second half that pinned the Titans back in their own territory. While Scott’s tackling could use some work and he had just a 31-yard punt while trying to down a punt inside the 20 (fair caught at the 21-yard line), the rookie did not provide any early concerns reminiscent of B.J. However, the selections that Brian Gutekunst made in the 2018 NFL Draft have looked very promising this preseason, and he was just able to lock up Aaron Rodgers for a league-record deal to keep him in Green Bay until he’s 40. That, plus the contract extension for Davante Adams and the replacement of fans’ whipping boy Dom Capers probably helps explain these feelings. What is the worst NFL rule? This is an interesting breakdown, and it is likely driven in part by the inconsistency with which the helmet rule has been applied this preseason. Flags dropped quite a bit by the end of the preseason, however, as the referees seemed to get a better idea of how to enforce the new rule. It would be fascinating to see the polling on this question again at the end of the year to see if the catch rule jumps back up.
  7. It seemed as if the Kansas City Chiefs may replace Kansas City Chiefs Womens Hoodie wide receiver Tyreek Hill as their punt returner two weeks ago. Special teams coordinator Dave Toub said at the time there had been internal conversations on whether or not it would be smartest to hand those duties to someone else, as doing so could prevent injury to one of the organization’s most important players. But Uncle Dave reaffirmed Hill would keep his punt-return job on Thursday afternoon.“Tyreek is such a threat, just having him lined up in there,” Toub said at his first weekly press conference of the regular season. “It causes teams to really consider, ‘Do I really want to punt it to him? Or do I want to punt it out of bounds?’ That’s the first thought you want to have for a punt team. He’s going to create [a favorable] field position no matter what happens. He’s such a threat.“If he catches the ball, he can score at any time. He’s too big of a factor to not have him in there. We’re going to be smart about it though, too, as well, situations—if it’s not right, or he’s tired, we got other options.”Toub also named WR De’Anthony Thomas and rookie cornerback Tremon Smith as the team’s kick returners.“Between those two, we’ll just keep switching them in and out depending on situations,” Toub said of Thomas and Smith. “Tyreek, obviously, in special situations Womens Customized Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys , could be a kick returner as well.”Other special teams notesToub said new safety Jordan Lucas “is a veteran special teams player.” Lucas will play all four phases of special teams for the Chiefs, per Toub.Toub said it won’t be easy replacing veteran linebacker Frank Zombo, who the Chiefs cut, on special teams: “He’s going to be sorely missed. For five years, he’s been a four-phase starter and leader for our team. Any time that happens, it’s a loss and everybody’s feeling it right now, but at the same time, that’s the way the game is played. That’s the NFL. That’s the way it is. Everybody understands that. There’s going to be a new guy. It could be Ben Niemann, who could be our next Zombo.” Toub added that is his expectation for Niemann.Toub provided some insight as to why he always speaks so highly of De’Anthony Thomas: “If you really watch what he does on kickoff ... he makes all the tackles. If it breaks, he’s in on a tackle. He’s a tough guy. I can throw him in at gunner, he can play gunner and he gives me great reps there. Punt return? If he’s not the punt returner, he can play corner. He can lock down the gunners. He’s so valuable to me because he’s fast, he’s tough and he’s a good blocker and he’s relentless. That’s why I really like him.”Chiefs injury notes ahead of Sunday vs. Jacksonville Editor’s note: Every week, our in-house injury expert, Aaron Borgmann www.chiefscheapshoponline.com , will share some notes on the injuries coming out of One Arrowhead Drive.LB Dee Ford – (Groin)Player has been limited at practice all week with a groin strain. As we spoke about earlier this week, the Wednesday practice was a walkthrough, so it cannot be regarded as a normal practice. While you would like to see a full practice (FP) designation here, the fact that he was able to work all week in some fashion is a good sign. A “questionable” designation at this point is most likely a hedge of bets on the team’s part in case the player does not continue to progress. As was stated last week, with this player and this injury, speed rushers and muscle strains are not a great match, but in the last game, it was proven that this is something that the player can at least play through and contribute on some level.WR Sammy Watkins – (Hamstring)Concerning due to the player’s history of muscle strains. As was mentioned during the game, it was a good sign that the player was able to run back and forth up/down the sideline immediately after the injury, and the fact that he was able to be a LP designation all week. As stated above, the team may have limited this player due to short week in prep for the game as a hamstring injury is certainly something you don’t want to linger or get worse, especially in a WR. Since we have no context of this player, in this system, with this coaching/medical staff, it is hard to make any assumptions here. Most likely what you see is what you get Kansas City Chiefs T-Shirt , and the player hopefully continues to progress Friday and Saturday in prep for the game. Could be game-time decision, could just be the team being cautious on a short week.S Armani Watts – (Groin)This is a new incidence of an injury that showed up on Thursday. While you hate to see injuries come around that late in the week, this could simply be a case of timing. Many times, on short weeks and due to lighter practices, players have items show up during the first hard practice of the week. Hopefully, that is the case here. This is backed up by the fact that the player had a designation of full practice two days in a row after the injury was reported. While the questionable designation is never ideal, again, it is most likely the team being cautious with the player should he not continue to progress throughout the week.WR Chris Conley, C Mitch Morse, DL Chris JonesThese players have all been on the injury report with injuries either from known events or unknown causes. At any rate, the have all been “full practice” (FP) all three days. This would fall under the category of maintenance. Football is hard, and players need work sometimes in order to play. There is little to no concern here.S ERIC BERRY – (heel)No change.Aaron Borgmann is the owner of Borgmann Rehab Solutions and a former 12-year NFL Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer.
  8. Last week Authentic Tyler Higbee Jersey , I emerged from a cloud of indecision and finally decided to bite the bullet and reserve a seat at the Los Angeles Rams’ new stadium in Inglewood for 2020. Ever since my purchase, at least once a day I catch myself gazing at my pdf of the simulated view from my future seat as I drool. During one of these hypnotic drool sessions, I got to wondering which current Rams will most likely be there to take the field on opening day in 2020. Obviously the Rams’ top draft picks over the next two seasons will be there, but which players from this season’s powerhouse will most likely still be around? Keep in mind, this is not a list based on talent alone. Existing (and reasonable) contracts rank a player higher and more likely to be around long-term. Also, the Rams have displayed a tendency to prioritize protecting QB Jared Goff, and providing him with weapons, over positions in places like the secondary. And will the Rams find cap space to retain talented players like DL Michael Brockers, LG Rodger Saffold or LB Cory Littleton when they hit the open market?Top 20 Rams most likely to still be on the team when the new stadium opens (2020)1.) QB Jared GoffBarring some catastrophe, Goff will spend the majority of career in Inglewood. In 2020, if the Rams haven’t already worked out an extension, the club can exercise Goff’s fifth-year option, which would pay him the average of the Top 10 quarterbacks at that time.2) DL Aaron DonaldDonald will be right in the thick of his freshly signed extension in 2020, and will still be in his prime. If the Rams ever did part ways with Problem 99, it wouldn’t be until at least 2022, but then again, why would they do that? 3) RB Todd GurleyYes, running backs have a shelf life but Gurley is such a key element in the Rams attack. He’s becoming just the type of transcendent star to help make the Stan Canyon what the Forum once was, during the Showtime Lakers era. Of course, things can change quickly in the NFL, but Gurley’s new deal makes it seem very likely he’ll be around until at least 2021 or 2022. 4) WR Cooper KuppStill playing out his rookie deal at a modest $1.19m in 2020, Kupp will be a Ram, and Jared Goff will feel happy.5) WR Brandin CooksThe Rams have an out in 2021 if they want it, but until then they are married to Cooks, and so far the marriage has been wonderful.6) P Johnny HekkerCurrently locked in until 2022, Hekker will be probably still be a Ram in the year 2035. Heck, if not for the dead money that some of the bulkier deals would present, he might be at the top of this list.7) WR Robert WoodsSet to make $7.17m, Woods is a major bargain for the team, especially when looking at other deals that receivers have been getting lately. There wouldn’t be a ton of dead money if Woods and Rams did part ways, but it seems unlikely that will happen any time soon.8) S John Johnson IIIJohnson will be on the final year of his rookie deal, playing for just under a million dollars. The question will be what happens with Johnson in 2021?9) OL Joseph NoteboomNoteboom will likely have gained a starting position on the Rams offensive line by 2020, and will still be playing on his rookie deal.10) RT Rob HavensteinThe team could move on from Big Rob by 2020 should he flounder, but most likely he will represent a fair deal and some continuity for the Rams line.11) CB Nickell Robey-ColemanRobey-Coleman will be set to make $4.5m in 2020, and with Aqib Talib, and possibly Sam Shields moving on by then, there will be plenty of motivation to keep NRC in the mix.12) CB Marcus PetersPeters likely figures into the Rams long-term plans Youth Michael Brockers Jersey , but so far his audition has been slowed a by a calf strain.13) OL Austin BlytheBlythe has been impressive this season, and will still be under his rookie contract next year. It seems like the Rams would lean toward retaining the young guard, as they also consider their options regarding upcoming free agents Jamon Brown and/or Rodger Saffold.14) DL John Franklin-MyersFranklin-Myers has looked solid so far in his rookie season. Still playing under his rookie deal, and with Suh (and possibly Brockers) departing by 2020, JFM will still be a Ram.15) LG Rodger Saffold IIISaffold has become an elder-statesmen in the locker room, who remembers the lean years. He has also become a heck of a player. If his health continues to hold up, he could earn a nice paycheck after this season as he enters free agency. Saff has indicated that he may be willing to take a slight shave to remain part of what has become a special team. Hopefully common ground can be found to retain Saffold.16) LS Jake McQuaideOf course McQuide will be there, Coach Bones wouldn’t have it any other way. The Pro Bowl long snapper is due $975k in 2020.17) DL Michael BrockersBrockers is a key element in the Rams defense, and it would be painful to lose his services at any point. When he becomes a free agent in 2020, it seems likely that he’ll receive some healthy offers. Will the Rams be able to clear enough space to keep Brockers next to Donald?18) S Marqui ChristianIf the Rams end up moving on from safety LaMarcus Joyner as they’ve done with other secondary studs like Rodney McLeod, Trumaine Johnson, and Janoris Jenkins in the past; Christian is a piece they’d like to keep. His rookie deal will be up in 2019.19) EDGE Samson EbukamEbukam is doing a pretty good job so far this year, and is likely stick around for the remainder of his rookie deal, which runs through 2020. However, Ebukam is currently on a pace to complete the season with only four sacks. If that ends up being the case, it doesn’t seem like a stretch to think the Rams may end up going in a completely different direction on the edge.20) TE Gerald EverettStill on his rookie deal in 2020, maybe Everett will have become a solid contributor by then. We can always hope right?*I totally wanted to write the name Andrew Whitworth on this list, but we’ll see how he feels after a couple more seasons. Health! The Los Angeles Rams may not use RB John Kelly a lot this year...but maybe they should The Los Angeles Rams had a handful of sixth-round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft which typically means that the organization will have plenty of dudes fighting to make the 53-man roster or at best make a case to be a key part of the depth at a given position. But a star player that fans salivate over during the preseason? Out of the sixth round?RB John Kelly is in a unique situation since he was looked at by some as a third-round talent that fell deep into Day 3. Even more strangely, Head Coach Sean McVay elected to keep his starting offense on the bench for all four preseason games allowing the spotlight to shine elsewhere. And guess what? The lights gravitated to Kelly who has a running style not too dissimilar than Gurley. Kelly has those Madden-style spin moves that are super fun to watch. Yes, this was against the 3’s in a preseason game, I hear you. But still...So that being said, is Kelly is our RB2 now? Should we all draft Kelly on our fantasy team in case Gurley gets hurt or has a slow start to the season?I still feel that the Rams will keep Kelly in a very limited role this season, maybe 3-5 snaps a game. Maybe that means RB Malcolm Brown will get less touches. This is all conjecture of course. Only McVay and maybe his girlfriend knows what he plans on doing with the regular season offense. What I’d like to see is more touches for Kelly because I’m not a huge fan of the #1 back getting too many touches, especially when Gurley gets so many pass targets from QB Jared Goff. What makes Brown valuable to the team is that he provides strong pass protection and is more of a classic change-of-pace ball carrier. Blocking seems to be what Kelly needs to work on the most, so it’s asking a lot to just assume that he’s Gurley 2.0. TST’s own Brandon Bate also has some thoughts about this:So, what does this all mean?Well when a team elects to keep their offensive starters off the field, fans can get a little frothy-at-the-mouth. Truth is: we don’t know what this team is going to look like until Monday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders. Gurley is the man. That we know. However, if things go sideways with him, it’s nice to know that RB John Kelly and RB Justin Davis are ready to rip if their services are needed. It ain’t gonna pretty, but it’s going to be fast. As good as Brown is, I’m not certain he’s a lead running back. Is John Kelly? Well, he ran like it in the preseason. Though it seems unlikely, I would like to see Kelly get around 15 touches during the season which could help Gurley stay fresh going into the playoffs (yeah, I said it, get off my back.)Ok, I’m going to slow my roll and hope nothing back happens to Todd Gurley II this year.
  9. DAVIE http://www.officialpredators.com/authentic-adidas-ryan-hartman-jersey , Fla. (AP) — Miami Dolphins quarterback David Fales has been on the bubble for his entire five-year NFL career, so he almost sounds convincing when he says Thursday’s exhibition finale at Atlanta is just another game. Waived four times and released from a practice squad twice, Fales will likely be awarded the No. 2 job for the first time if he plays well against the Falcons. If he plays poorly, he might be cut. In his latest battle to stay in the league, Fales is competing with Brock Osweiler for Miami’s backup job. “You can’t put too much weight on one game,” Fales said. “I’m going to approach it the same way I have every preseason game and every game. You can’t put too much pressure on yourself. Otherwise you’re going to be forcing stuff and trying to do crazy stuff, and it’s not going to help you.” It’s the oddest thing about these preseason finales the week before the season — they’re poorly attended and mostly meaningless Jay Beagle Jersey , but for players fighting to make the roster, the pressure’s perhaps greater than in a playoff game. So Dolphins coach Adam Gase will see how Fales and Osweiler fare under pressure. Gase seeks a successor to the departed Matt Moore, Miami’s backup quarterback since 2011. Osweiler and Fales haven’t looked like keepers much since training camp began, but Gase said he’s comfortable with his options at backup quarterback — an important role given doubts regarding the durability of starter Ryan Tannehill, who’s coming off knee surgery and missed the entire 2017 season. Miami might decide to keep both Osweiler and Fales, but the fourth quarterback on the roster, Bryce Petty Kyler Fackrell Jersey , is a long shot to make the team. There has also been speculation the unimpressive camps by Fales and Osweiler might prompt the Dolphins to go quarterback shopping before the season. Gase said he’s certain his No. 2 QB will be either Fales or Osweiler. The reason for his comfort level? “I’ve called games for both of them,” Gase said. Fales won praise from Gase after his first career start in last year’s season finale. He threw for 265 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Buffalo. Osweiler, a seventh-year veteran, was a backup with the Denver Broncos and played in 13 games when Gase was an assistant coach there. The two contenders for the No. 2 job did little to help their cause in Saturday’s exhibition game against Baltimore. When Miami was outscored 24-0 in the second half, each threw an interception and finished with a passer rating under 36.0. Gase blamed poor protection by second- and third-team linemen. “I think Brock’s temper is better than it used to be,” Gase said with a slight smile. “He took a couple shots there. It’s not on him.” For the entire preseason, Osweiler is 25 for 41 for 174 yards with one interception and six sacks. Fales is 14 for 27 for 184 yards with two interceptions and one sack. Neither has thrown a touchdown pass. Like Fales Robert Griffin III Jersey , Osweiler tries to characterize the exhibition finale not as a winner-take-all battle for No. 2, but just another day in the ongoing competition to stay in the NFL. “It doesn’t really matter what spot you’re labeled in,” Osweiler said. “You need to come to practice every single day and get better. Otherwise someone will take your job.” The last sled to get as many views as the one Chandler Jones broke yesterday was named Rosebud. And the Cardinals defensive end had no apologies for the broken equipment/viral video he created when he snapped the arm off a blocking sled during practice yesterday. Via Darren Urban of the team’s official website, Cards coach Steve Wilks said he thought the damage was a result of Jones being handled by tackle D.J. Humphries on an earlier play and the resulting motivation. “That’s not why,” Jones said, clearly proud of himself. “I’m just too powerful. You can write that down. Way too powerful. . . . “I was like, ‘[Expletive] Ronnie Stanley Jersey , I forgot how powerful I was.” Sled vs @ChanJones55. Advantage: @ChanJones55. pic.twitter.com/SLy4UInWXN — Arizona Cardinals (@AZCardinals) July 30, 2018 And while Wilks now has a sled that’s short an arm which somebody is going to have to pay for, he admitted he was still impressed. “We’ve got to replace that,” Wilks said. “But it was exciting to see.” Hopefully none of the Cardinals break any of the other props this week. Pray for ball-on-a-stick. Womens Buffalo Bills Jerseys
  10. Kevin Anderson won the longest Centre Court match in history and earned a chance to try to collect his first Grand Slam championship Reilly Smith Jersey , edging John Isner 7-6 (6), 6-7 (5), 6-7 (9), 6-4, 26-24 in the semifinals at Wimbledon in a marathon between two big servers that lasted more than 6 1/2 hours. The fifth set alone lasted nearly 3 hours as the match became a test of endurance more than skill. Anderson finally earned the must-have, go-ahead service break with the help of a point in which the right-hander tumbled to his backside, scrambled back to his feet and hit a shot lefty. Only one match at the All England Club has been longer: Isner’s 2010 first-round victory over Nicolas Mahut, which went more than 11 hours over three days and finished 70-68 in the fifth. That was played over on Court 18, which now bears a plaque commemorating the record-setter. The contest lasted so long, the day’s second semifinal didn’t finish. Novak Djokovic was leading Rafael Nadal 6-4, 3-6 Lars Eller Jersey , 7-6 (9) in a compelling showdown filled with entertaining points that was suspended as soon as the third set concluded at just past 11 p.m., the curfew at the All England Club. NFL PLANO, Texas (AP) – Walt Coleman doesn’t see the revamped catch rule as a big change for NFL game officials because the veteran referee believes they’ve already been calling catches the new way. If anything, Coleman said he figure there will be fewer reviews of their rulings. Officials gathered for their annual preseason meeting in the Dallas area. League owners unanimously approved the changes in April – more than three years after Dez Bryant’s infamous catch that wasn’t in Dallas’ playoff loss at Green Bay, and just a few months since Pittsburgh’s Jesse James had a late go-ahead touchdown taken away in a loss to New England that damaged the Steelers’ hopes for the AFC’s top seed. Essentially, the new rule eliminates the ground as a factor on catches while establishing three main criteria: having control of the ball; getting two feet down or another body part; and making a football move, such as taking a third step or extending the ball. NEW YORK (AP) – DeMarco Murray is retiring from the NFL. The 2014 Offensive Player of the Year made the announcement four months after being released by the Tennessee Titans. Murray, 30, lost his job to Derrick Henry last season and was due to make $6.25 million in 2018 when the Titans let him go. He ran for 659 yards and six touchdowns last season, dealt with a knee injury late in the year, and missed the Titans’ final regular-season game and two playoff contests. The Titans acquired Murray in a March 2016 trade with the Eagles. Murray had spent one year with Philadelphia after playing four seasons with the Cowboys. Murray was playing for Dallas in 2014 when he won the NFL rushing title and Offensive Player of the Year honors. He was a dominant force that season for the Cowboys Radim Vrbata Jersey , who went 12-4 to win the NFC East. Murray ran for a league-best 1,845 yards, then signed a five-year, $40 million deal as a free agent with Philadelphia in 2015. BASEBALL LOS ANGELES (AP) – Chase Utley will retire from baseball at the end of this season, capping a 16-year career that included a World Series championship with Philadelphia and an elder-statesman role with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The six-time All-Star said he’s leaving to spend more time with his wife and two young sons. Utley announced his decision at a jammed news conference in the basement of Dodger Stadium, with several of his teammates surprising him by crowding into the small, steamy room. Three-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw sat on the floor in a corner, with Matt Kemp, Rich Hill, Corey Seager, Austin Barnes and Kenta Maeda joining him. Pitching coach Rick Honeycutt looked on Marshall Newhouse Jersey , while hitting coach Turner Ward used his phone to capture video. Yasiel Puig hung in the back, and 92-year-old Dodgers pitching great Don Newcombe listened in. AUTO RACING SPARTA, Ky. (AP) – Christopher Bell rallied from the rear of the field after a tire change due to a spin during qualifying, steadily worked his way up the field and passed Justin Allgaier with 17 laps remaining before holding off Daniel Hemric to win the 300-mile NASCAR Xfinity race at Kentucky Speedway. Bell drove his No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota to his second victory this season. Bell, who has three career victories in the Xfinity Series, moved within 17 points of co-leaders Elliott Sadler (12th) and Hemric. He trails third-place Cole Custer by 14. Cup Series regular Kyle Busch (Toyota) led three times for a race-high 111 laps and won the first stage but finished third. Allgaier was fourth in a Chevrolet and pole winner Custer (Ford) fifth. John Hunter Nemechek won the second stage but finished seventh in a Chevrolet. NBA NEW YORK (AP) – Jeremy Lin’s injury-plagued stint in Brooklyn is over as the Nets agreed to trade him to Atlanta. The move helps clear up the Nets’ logjam at point guard and sends Lin to another team that is also pretty crowded at the position. The Hawks announced they also acquired a 2025 second-round pick and the right to swap second-round picks in 2023 with the Nets, who acquired the draft rights to shooting guard Isaia Cordinier and a protected 2020 second-round pick. Lin has a year and $12.5 million left on the contract he signed two summers ago. NEW YORK (AP) – The Brooklyn Nets acquired forwards Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur along with a 2019 first-round pick from the Denver Nuggets. The Nets also received a second-round pick in 2020 in the trade and sent guard I New York Giants coach Pat Shurmur isn't looking at the annual preseason game against the Jets as a final dress rehearsal for the upcoming season. It's just another chance for his players to put some good football on tape and enhance their chances of making the 53-man roster. It also might be a chance for star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to play in a game for the first time since breaking his left ankle in a game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 8. "We'll see," Shurmur said Saturday in reviewing the Giants' 30-17 win over the Lions in Detroit on Friday night. Shurmur has taken a very cautious approach with Beckham coming off a major injury. He limited his time in the opening weeks of training camp and has not allowed him to play in either of the first two preseason games, which the Giants split. This past week in practices with the Lions, Beckham took another step, running routes against Detroit defensive backs Kevin Hayes Jersey , including All-Pro cornerback Darius Slay. The next step would be to play in a preseason game before the opener against Jacksonville on Sept. 9. The braggin' rights game against the Jets will be played at MetLife Stadium on Friday with the preseason finale on Aug. 30 against the Patriots. "I have mentioned this all along, we are going to do our very best to find out who our best 53 guys are," Shurmur said, adding his thoughts on the third preseason game is that is it one for some players to get their last game experience before the start of the season. The Giants might be a little short at the halfback position with No. 2 overall draft pick Saquon Barkley still dealing with a strained hamstring and free agent Jalen Simmons uncertain after sustaining a concussion against the Lions. Shurmur said linebacker Calvin Munson also sustained a concussion in the game and receiver Russell Shepard injured a finger. The Giants didn't get back to their headquarters in New Jersey until 5 a.m. Saturday because weather delayed the arrival of their charter jet in Detroit until 2 a.m. EDT. "How much sleep do you need for a 20-minute press conference," quipped Shurmur, who earlier in the day reviewed the game film and then went over his roster with his coaching staff. Shurmur said he was satisfied with most of his team's play. He said he planned to ask the NFL to clarify a penalty given to linebacker Mark Herzlich for lowering his head to make a hit. He said he disagreed with the call, but added he would not discuss what the league says. "I don't think it's necessary to get fined in the preseason," he said. 11. The Brooklyn Nets have been creative in their attempt to start from scratch after selling away the future of the franchise five years ago hunting for a championship that never came. Two months after capping a third straight losing season Da'Ron Payne Jersey , the Nets hope their latest acquisitions might be part of the solution. Brooklyn continued its rebuild Thursday night, selecting Dzanan Musa with the 29th overall pick and Rodions Kurics at No. 40 in the NBA draft. Musa was taken with the pick acquired from the Toronto Raptors in a trade last July, which also landed forward DeMarre Carroll. The Nets have been trying to salvage something of the previous drafts after the last regime sent three unprotected first-round picks in 2014, 2016 and 2018 to the Boston Celtics and the right to swap first round picks in the 2017 draft for Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry. The trade netted Brooklyn a disappointing second-round exit that season and sent the organization into a downward spiral with no draft assets to show for it. So now, the Nets are looking abroad. Brooklyn has invested heavily in its international scouting department since New Zealand-born general manager Marks took over in February 2016, and that group led them to Musa and Kurics. Musa, 19-year-old from Bosnia and Herzegovina, spent the last three seasons with KK Cedevita, leading them to the Croatian League championship. At 6-foot-9, he averaged 13.3 points and shot 46.2 percent from the field in 30 league games. Brooklyn was impressed with what they had seen at the international level from Musa, who has been playing professionally since the age of 16. ”I think from scouting perspective we’ve enjoyed watching him play. Very dynamic,” general manager Sean Marks said. ”Obviously his offensive skills are pretty special. (A good) size for (his) position. He has been playing at a very Ray Nitschke Jersey , very high level. A very competitive young man.” Kurocs, a 6-foot-9 prospect, was tabbed by draft experts in years’ past as a first-round selection but sat mostly on the bench for FC Barcelona in the Spanish ACB League and in Euroleague competition this past season. He averaged 1.4 points in 10 games. ”I am not sure why he was there when we picked, but he is a guy that we had been targeting for some time,” Marks said. ”We’re thrilled to get our hands on Rodions.” Marks said he expects both players to join the Nets roster for the upcoming season. Musa has a $1 million buyout clause with KK Cedevita. Rodions’ contract calls for a $4 million fee to free him up from his Spanish club. ”There is a lot of development there with their bodies and so forth. Again, I think both (are) really great development pieces for our coaching staff, performance (and) so forth to get their hands on,” Marks said. ”I am intrigued to what they can do for both player. Playing in an elite level in Europe for quite some time, I think that transition that we talked about before will hopefully won’t be seamless.” Brooklyn also drafted at the 45th spot, taking Kentucky shooting guard Hamidou Diallo, and traded his rights to the Charlotte Hornets as part Wednesday’s deal for Dwight Howard, who is expected to be bought out by the Nets. — Jackie Bradley Jr. drove in two runs, Eduardo Rodriguez struck out six in six innings and the Boston Red Sox beat the Washington Nationals 3-0 on Wednesday to complete a three-game sweep. Rodriguez (10-3) allowed three hits and walked one. Craig Kimbrel worked the ninth for his 26th save in 28 chances Ty Montgomery Jersey , finishing a six-hitter. The Nationals (42-43) have lost five in a row to fall below .500 this late in the season for the first time since being 60-61 on Aug. 21, 2015. The preseason NL East favorites held a players-only meeting after the game. A throwing error by Adam Eaton on Bradley’s sacrifice fly and a wild pitch by Ryan Madson (2-4) in the seventh inning contributed to Washington’s 17th loss in 22 games. Nationals starter Erick Fedde left one batter into the second inning with right shoulder stiffness. Manager Davey Martinez said Fedde was scheduled to have an MRI. YANKEES 6, BRAVES 2 NEW YORK (AP) – Giancarlo Stanton hit a three-run homer and CC Sabathia pitched six effective innings, leading the Yankees to the victory. Yankees rookie second baseman Gleyber Torres left in the fifth inning because of tightness in his right hip and was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right hip strain. Aaron Judge and Kyle Higashioka also homered for New York. Higashioka became the ninth player since 1920 whose first three hits were home runs. Sabathia (6-3) yielded two runs and five hits. Atlanta starter Julio Teheran (6-6) lasted just five innings, allowing five runs and five hits. He struck out 10 and walked four. CARDINALS 8, DIAMONDBACKS 4 PHOENIX (AP) – Yadier Molina and Yairo Munoz homered, Miles Mikolas threw six strong innings and St. Louis broke loose late to beat Arizona and take two of three from the first-place Diamondbacks. Molina’s three-run shot on the first pitch from reliever Fernando Salas highlighted a five-run seventh inning after Arizona had nursed a 2-1 lead through six. Tommy Pham drove in three Cardinals runs with a double and two singles. The Diamondbacks dropped to 1-5 on their homestand and lead the surging Dodgers by just a half-game in the NL West. Mikolas (9-3) gave up two runs, seven hits and four walks. Arizona reliever Yoshihisa Hirano (2-1) had his franchise-record streak of 26 games without allowing a run end when Munoz homered on the first pitch of the seventh. Hirano gave up four runs, one earned, on three hits in two-thirds of an inning for his first loss since coming to the major leagues from Japan this season. ASTROS 5, RANGERS 4, 10 INNINGS ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Evan Gattis drove in Jose Altuve with a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning Patric Hornqvist Jersey , sending AL West-leading Houston to the road win. Altuve stopped a 0-for-13 slide with a one-out single in the 10th. Chris Martin (1-2) then hit Yuli Gurriel with a pitch before an errant pickoff throw allowed both runners to move up. Gattis followed with a fly ball to right-center. Gurriel homered, doubled and scored twice as the Astros overcame an early four-run deficit. Collin McHugh (4-0) pitched three scoreless innings, and Ken Giles got three outs for his 12th save. Texas’ Shin-Soo Choo homered and singled to extend his on-base streak to 44 games, the longest in his career and in the majors this season. DODGERS 6, PIRATES 4 LOS ANGELES (AP) – Rich Hill earned his first win in three months, Yasmani Grandal and Chris Taylor drove in three runs apiece, and the Dodgers swept the Pirates for the second straight year. The Dodgers outscored the Pirates 31-8 in the three-game series while winning their fourth in a row overall. Hill (2-3) allowed two runs in five innings for his first victory since April 1. Kenley Jansen earned a five-out save, his 23rd of the season. Gregory Polanco hit a two-run homer for Pittsburgh. Clay Holmes (0-1) was charged with four runs in 2 1/3 innings in his first major league start. CUBS 5, TIGERS 2 CHICAGO (AP) – Javier Baez stole home, Willson Contreras hit a tiebreaking homer and the Cubs earned their sixth straight victory. Conditions at Wrigley Field favored the long ball, with a game-time temperature of 92 degrees, a heat index of 102 and the wind blowing out. David Bote also connected for Chicago. Jose Quintana (7-6) pitched six effective innings in his first win since May 31, and Brandon Morrow got three outs for his 19th save. Nicholas Castellanos and John Hicks went deep for Detroit Womens Luke Kunin Jersey , which has dropped 13 of 15. Francisco Liriano (3-5) permitted three runs in six innings. ATHLETICS 4, PADRES 2 OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – Stephen Piscotty doubled three times and drove in three runs, powering Oakland to the win. Khris Davis added an RBI single for the A’s, who have won 14 of 17 to move a season-high nine games over .500. Lou Trivino (7-1) retired two batters for the win. Blake Treinen pitched the ninth for his 22nd save. Christian Villanueva hit his 17th home run for San Diego. Jose Castillo (1-2) got the loss. PHILLIES 4, ORIOLES 1 PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Aaron Nola stuck out nine in seven innings, Nick Williams hit a two-run homer and the Phillies beat the Orioles to sweep a two-game interleague series. Nola (11-2) gave up one run and seven hits to win his fifth straight decision. Victor Arano tossed two innings for his first career save. Philadelphia pulled within 1 1/2 games of NL East-leading Atlanta and improved 10 games over .500 for the first time since finishing the 2011 season with a franchise-record 102 wins. Orioles right-hander Yefry Ramirez (0-2) gave up two runs – one earned – and one hit in five innings. METS 6, B Youth Baltimore Ravens Jerseys
  12. New York Giants coach Pat Shurmur thinks Landon Collins should just speak for himself. The Giants safety recently made headlines with radio comments that teammate Ereck Flowers was ”unhappy” the team signed Patriots left tackle Nate Solder. The move effectively flipped Flowers to right tackle. ”That’s not for Landon to talk about Womens Lamar Jackson Jersey ,” Shurmur said Saturday at the rookie minicamp. ”I think the important thing is, let’s let Ereck talk for Ereck when he gets here, and we’ll worry about that later. But really, I don’t think our players should be talking about another player’s situation.” Flowers has been the starting left tackle the past three seasons after the Giants took him with the ninth pick overall in the 2014 draft. The Giants recently declined to pick up the fifth-year option of Flowers’ contract for $12.5 million in 2019. First-year general manager Dave Gettleman signed Solder in March. Flowers hasn’t shown up to the team’s voluntary workouts this spring. But Shurmur said he’s been in touch with Flowers. ”It’s our understanding that he’s in good shape,” Shurmur said. ”I can’t wait for him to be here. I’ve mentioned it in the past, there were some things that he did last year that were really good Daryl Johnston Jersey , and I look forward to him getting here at some point and working with him.” After wrapping up rookie minicamp this weekend, the Giants will take the field as a full team for the first time at OTAs on May 21-22. They have mandatory minicamp June 12-14. ”We’ll see when he gets here,” Shurmur said. ”We’ll talk about it then. We’re communicating with him. There’s been times when Odell (Beckham Jr.) hasn’t been here and we’ve communicated with him, so we’re looking forward to him being here. We feel like we’re a better team with him here than without him.” NOTES: R.J. McIntosh has been a spectator for the on-field portion of rookie minicamp. The fifth-round selection out of Miami says he’s being treated for a minor medical condition he didn’t want to discuss. He says he expects to be back on the field for minicamp in June. It has been a busy year for Miro Heiskanen and it’s not over yet. The talented defenseman opened it at the junior world championship in Buffalo before becoming a mainstay on the Finnish men’s national team at the next two top tournaments: the Pyeongchang Olympics and the ongoing world championship. In that time the 18-year-old has established himself as a reliable defenseman who has passed the test against top NHL talents at the tournament in Denmark. He plays in the top unit, meaning he has to stop the offensive aces of the opposition and that’s exactly what he has done. NHL leading scorer Connor McDavid could attest to that. On Saturday, Finland upset star-studded Canada captained by McDavid 5-1 and Heiskanen contributed a great deal. He played 18:25 but his best moment came in the middle period when Canada was trailing 3-1 and desperately pressing to score. At one point Youth Fabian Moreau Jersey , McDavid had just an empty net in front of him. Goaltender Harri Sateri was still at the far post and McDavid’s shot from the left circle was heading for goal. But then Heiskanen came seemingly out of no where to Finland’s rescue, tipping the puck to safety. ”It was almost in the net but I hit the puck,” Heiskanen said. ”It was a good save.” When the two met in the third period, the result was a two plus two-minute penalty for high sticking for a frustrated McDavid, effectively ending Canada’s chances of a comeback. Finland captain Mikael Granlund praised Heiskanen. ”I have seen him at the games here and nothing really surprises me about him,” Granlund said. ”The way he skates Youth John Tavares Jersey , the way he handles the puck and sees the ice. He can play these games. He’s been really, really good this tournament. He’s got a great career ahead of him.” The obvious next step is the NHL. The Dallas Stars picked him with the third overall selection in the 2017 NHL draft and signed him to a three-year entry level contract. He spent last season on loan with IFK Helsinki where he played since he was 17. He finished with 23 points including 11 goals in the regular season and added three goals and nine points in the playoffs. He said the transition has not been a problem. ”It was tough sometimes but mostly quite easy because I play with smarter players. Of course, the play is faster than at the junior category and I face stronger guys,” he said. The Denmark tournament proved he is ready to stop the best. ”It’s nice to face those guys and see where I am,” Heiskanen said. ”It’s a good test to play them, maybe I will play them next year in the NHL. I want to play there as soon as possible Cameron Meredith Jersey , that’s my goal.” There’s no doubt that he has the skills to make him a highly effective defenseman. But he knows he still has homework to do. ”I have to practice hard this summer and get little bit stronger,” he said. It’s not clear when he might get the call from Dallas, though it’s likely to be sooner rather than later. In the meantime, he has to do what hockey rookies have to do: after practice with the Finnish national team, he can be found staying late on the ice and picking up pucks. 13. GLENDALE James White Jersey , Ariz. (AP) — Barring unforeseen circumstances, rookie Josh Rosen will begin his first NFL season on the sidelines as Arizona’s backup quarterback. The preseason, though, will be his chance to shine, beginning Saturday night when the Cardinals play at home against the Los Angeles Chargers. “We want him to play quite a bit and really get into the flow of the game,” coach Steve Wilks said. Rosen said his two weeks of training camp have “gone really well.” “I think I’ve gotten better pretty much every day since I’ve gotten here,” the former UCLA star said before Wednesday’ practice. Sam Bradford is Arizona’s starter but the Cardinals view Rosen as their franchise quarterback of the future. Why else would they have moved up five spots in the draft to pluck him 10th overall? Asked for specific areas of improvement since he became a pro, Rosen cites “a bunch of things.” “The most tangible is probably the playbook Ben Bishop Jersey ,” he said. “I feel a lot more comfortable and fluid with it at the line of scrimmage. I’m focusing more and more with what the defense is trying to do to me rather than making sure I get the right snap count and in the right protection.” He said he’s also picking up “the little things on how to use the double-cadence to try and buy yourself time and get someone offside, just little tricks of the trade I didn’t know when I was in college.” From the beginning Bradford and Rosen seem to have gotten along well. “Sam’s actually really good with all those little things,” Rosen said. “He’s a crafty vet and very successful for a lot of different reasons. He might not share every reason with me, but I’ll take advantage of the ones that he does.” Bradford said Rosen “asks the right questions.” “He’s hungry for information,” Bradford said. “It seems like he’s always trying to learn something. It doesn’t stop in the meeting rooms. Even at the dinner table he’ll ask me. “It’s fun to be around someone like that and to hopefully try to be able to help him. I share with him some of the experiences I’ve had, some of the things I’ve learned over the years. Hopefully it can relate to him and can help him in some way.” Wilks wouldn’t say how much Rosen will play on Saturday night but it will be long enough to do some serious evaluation. “The mechanics of really running the offense,” Wilks said, “putting guys in the right position from a protection standpoint http://www.chicagobearsteamonline.com/mark-sanchez-jersey , going through his progression and reads and really just trying to detail the fundamentals.” Rosen is running second on the depth chart, ahead of Mike Glennon, who also figures to play a lot Saturday. Early in camp, Rosen said he was thinking too much. “I think I’ve gotten a lot better since then and continue to each day,” he said. “The less thinking you can do, the more you can allow yourself to physically do what I’ve been doing since Pop Warner, and play the game I know.” As a big-name rookie quarterback, Rosen knows his every move will be scrutinized by fans and critics. “It’s part of the game Brian Gibbons Jersey ,” he said. “I stay relatively offline for the most part. The most pressure I feel from anyone is myself. I’m very, very highly self-critical, almost too much at times. There’s no pressure that should be greater than my own.” There’s no changing his throwing style either, which includes an occasional sidearm toss on a bubble screen. “It’s not just how hard or far you can throw it,” Rosen said. “It’s being able to change your arm slot and delivery. I think Aaron (Rodgers) is the best at it because sort of like mid-throw, your ability to throw sidearm to fit a quick screen in there or just kind of contort your body to get halfback screens and stuff in there.” No one has tried to alter that style, he said. “They drafted me for what I can do and I’m here to deliver that,” Rosen said. He said he’s made preparation for the NFL a day-by-day process. “Right now I’m fully in work mode Authentic Patrick Mahomes Jersey ,” he said. “I’m trying to be the best that I can be and over the course of my career I’m trying to win Super Bowls. And right now I’m trying to put my best foot forward in this preseason game.” Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier is continuing his recovery from a serious spinal injury suffered on the field last season. Shazier will not play this season, but he is on the field working with his fellow linebackers at the Steelers’ training camp, and he’s walking with a cane. Shazier is moving gingerly but doesn’t appear to struggle to walk down the field to follow the linebacker drills. When Shazier was stretchered off the field in Cincinnati, there were concerns that he could be paralyzed for life. But he has made steady progress and appears to be walking better now than he did at the NFL draft, when he inspired football fans across the country by walking onto the stage. Shazier has said he still wants to play in the NFL again. Whether he ever plays again or not, he is making great progress toward living a healthy and fulfilling life. Womens Denver Broncos Jerseys
  14. Running backs obviously have to be able to make plays with the ball in their hands in order to earn jobs Womens Brayden Point Jersey , but they won’t see much of the field in the current NFL if they can’t make plays without it. Specifically, they aren’t going to play much if they can’t help protect their quarterbacks from pressure by opposing pass rushers. That’s been a problem across the board in Seattle in recent seasons Dmitry Kulikov Jersey , but coach Pete Carroll said that first-round pick Rashaad Penny has done a good job of picking it up in his first offseason as a professional. “He has picked up a ton of stuff,” Carroll said last week Michael Irvin Jersey , via the team. “[Running backs coach Chad Morton] was just talking about the pass protection stuff that he looks so comfortable with after the time he has been here. That was something that was new for him and a demanding part of the game. We don鈥檛 have any hesitation that he鈥檚 going to be fine in that area.” Carroll has also talked up Chris Carson‘s return from injury this offseason and the Seahawks are going to play multiple backs regardless of how well Penny does a pass blocker. They didn’t take him in the first round to be a non-factor, however Connor Brown Jersey , and keeping Russell Wilson upright while also making plays when the ball comes his way is a sure path to serious playing time. The Seattle Seahawks are retaining one of their key defensive backs by signing safety Bradley McDougald to a three-year contract. Bringing back McDougald was important for the Seahawks after he showed his value last season with his ability to fill in at both strong safety and free safety. McDougald was able to fill in for Earl Thomas when he was injured and took over for Kam Chancellor after he was lost for the season to a neck injury. McDougald was set to become a free agent after playing last season on a one-year deal. NFL reported McDougald's new deal is worth up to nearly $14 million. McDougald finished the 2017 season with 67 tackles and four passes defensed. Seattle also released defensive back DeShawn Shead, making him an unrestricted free agent. Seattle wants to bring Shead back. He spent most of last season on the physically unable to perform list due to a knee injury and Seattle could have brought him back under the terms of that contract. But now that Shead is healthy Authentic Marcus Johansson Jersey , the Seahawks afforded him the chance to see his value on the open market. Denver Broncos Jerseys
  15. The Green Bay Packers have signed Chicago Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller to an offer sheet Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Jersey , a person familiar with the situation said Friday. Fuller is the Bears’ transition player, and the tag gives Chicago five days to match the offer. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because neither team has announced the signing. The Chicago Tribune first reported the move. The 26-year-old Fuller is considered a key player for Chicago’s defense. The tag announced last week guarantees Fuller $12.9 million next season. The Bears the face the possibility of letting Fuller go to their NFC North rival if they don’t match the offer. The Packers on Friday also officially announced the signing of free agent Jimmy Graham, the 6-foot-7 tight end who gives quarterback Aaron Rodgers a big target over the middle. Graham has 556 catches and 69 touchdown receptions in eight NFL seasons. He posted a heartfelt note on Twitter on Friday thanking the Seahawks organization and teammates for his three years in Seattle. Graham’s arrival in Green Bay coincided with the release of longtime receiver Jordy Nelson, who has since joined the Oakland Raiders. This has been a busier-than-normal start to the offseason for Green Bay in Brian Gutekunst’s first year as general manager. The Packers have also signed defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson and acquired backup quarterback Deshone Kizer from the Cleveland Browns for cornerback Damarious Randall. — Soon-to-be Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens is interested in playing in the NFL. But he’s not as zealous about getting back as he once was. “I know that I do have the ability to play http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/aaron-rodgers-jersey ,” Owens said Wednesday and the ESPY awards. “I know everybody sees the shape that I’m in. There’s a lot of athletes that play their prospective sports, but there are few guys that defy the odds. I think I’m one of those guys. . . . “It’s unfortunate that I haven’t been able to continue my career, but again, I’m not actively seeking to get into the NFL. But again http://www.chicagobearsteamonline.com/anthony-miller-jersey , if there’s an opportunity for me to play, then yeah, I will entertain that, as well as the CFL.” Owens has a Canadian agent who is currently negotiating with the Edmonton Eskimos regarding a possible contract that would make Owens a member of the CFL club. “If it happens http://www.officialsenators.com/authentic-adidas-mike-hoffman-jersey , it happens, but if it doesn’t, it’s not the end of the world,” Owens said regarding the potential continuation of his playing career.
